The Master Baker and the Clerk attended the Launch of the Lord Mayor’s Big Curry Lunch Garden in the Guildhall Yard. Designed by Gianna Utilini, this year’s garden highlights the children of the military, several of whom had created moving works of art for the occasion.
Master Charles Joseph had the chance to meet HRH The Duke of Kent in Guildhall’s Livery Hall.
The 2024 Big Curry Lunch has an ambitious fundraising target of £450,000, to raise funds for the King Edward VII Hospital’s Centre for Veterans’ Health, whose Pain Management Programme seeks to address the physical and psychological pain barriers that prevent veterans from leading a full life, and Lifeworks, which offers practical advice, guidance, and support to help veterans and their families secure employment, as well as education and training opportunities.
