Discovering ‘Secrets of the Thames’

Image

The Thames has been at the heart of the City of London since day one, and its depths conceal a wealth of history, from treasures to tokens of everyday life.

The Secrets of the Thames is a fascinating new exhibition at the London Museum Docklands, expertly combining relics of the past with the activities of the mudlarks of the present day.

The Bakers' Livery Society was delighted to visit the exhibition  for a guided tour with its Curator, Kate Sumnall, and Museum Director Bakers' Court Assistant Sharon Ament, followed by lunch at a local restaurant.
