It has been quite the week for the Bakers, with yesterday's Admissions Court seeing 7 Freemen joining the Company, and a wonderful 10 Freemen progressing to the Livery. Scott Goodfellow also joined the Court as an Assistant.
At the following Court Dinner, a further two Top Students, Nicholas Woods and Joe Mulhall, became Honorary Freemen, and we welcomed our new Honorary Chaplain, Nicol Kinrade, from our affiliated church All Hallows By the Tower, and bade goodbye to Jennifer Midgley-Adam, wishing her every success in her exciting new position at St Peter's Eaton Square.
Being the Bakers, of course there was very good bread, with the rolls for our traditional grace provided by the LSBU National Bakery School, and music from the Guildhall School of Music.
It is particularly heartening to see so many of our new members coming to us from the bakery industry, 'proving' that the Company's age old trade connections are as strong as ever.
