The Great Fire of London started not far from Bakers' Hall, and its legacy brings groups of KS1 school children to see us throughout the year, many of which are funded by our Benevolent Fund.
Our Master William Marle joined Year 2 pupils from St Matthew's C of E Primary School, Wimbledon, for a fun-filled Great Fire day recently. Alongside a walking tour of the local area, trip to Pudding Lane, and chance to use quill pens and dress up in the style of Samuel Pepys, the children had the chance to take part in some ancient livery traditions. Clearly, it is never too early to learn the secrets of the Loving Cup.
