A Bounteous Harvest: October Court 2025

Autumnal October has come to London, and with it our October Admissions Court and Court Dinner.

Four liverymen were admitted to the Company yesterday, aptly illustrating the breadth of our membership: baking entrepreneur Zahra Khan, Eliana Pavel building her career in City HR, property expert Michael Millest who followed in his father's footsteps to join the livery, and Doug Beaney, one of the Company's former Top Students, still successfully working in the baking industry decades on.

Also admitted were five new Freemen, four of whom discovered the Worshipful Company of Bakers through attending baking courses run by the Bakers' charity.

At the following dinner, we were pleased to admit an additional two Freemen By Presentation as Top Students, Wendy Peacock of the LSBU National Bakery School, and Niamh Burke-Tomlinson of University College Birmingham.
