During 'their' year, each Master Baker has the chance to share their interests with the membership, through Master's Days Out.
This year's Master Charles Joseph decided to highlight the non-bread uses of yeast, through a visit to the Shepherd Neame Ltd Brewery down in Faversham, Kent.
On their tour, the assembled Bakers learnt all about this ancient craft, sampling malted barley and smelling hops, culminating in a tutored tasting of some of finest Kentish ales and lagers, and lunch. A great day was had by all. One could almost say they were hopping with excitement.
