Every two years, the Benevolent Fund of the Worshipful Company of Bakers funds a week-long course at Richemont Centre of Excellence in Switzerland.

Course convenor Sara Autton covers this year's course HERE

Here we hear from one delegate, Naomi Spaven:

I can’t actually sum up into a caption just how much I’ve loved my week with the Worshipful Company of Bakers at Richemont Kompetenzzentrum

It’s been a dream of mine to learn abroad since I became a baker, so I fully embraced every second of this opportunity!

I’ve learned from incredible bakers and pastry chefs, made products that I would never have dreamed of being capable of, made friends for life in my fellow bakers and I’ve laughed until I’ve had tears rolling down my face

My confidence has grown, I’ve learned so much my brain feels like it’s going to explode and it’s been a joy to meet so many bakers who love the craft as much as I do. This week will stay with me forever!

A huge thank you to Worshipful Company of Bakers for giving me this opportunity, Sara Autton & Graham Duckworth for organising such a wonderful trip and to all the staff at Richemont who shared their knowledge with us.

I always thank my tutor Daryl Stephenson for introducing me to all of these wonderful companies and opportunities, I’m so grateful!
