For Level 6 students at the LSBU National Bakery School, the last few weeks have been a frenzy of activity, as they submitted their final year practical assessments. The task, to create a unique themed afternoon tea, to include a sandwich made from their own sourdough starter.

Imaginations ran riot, to produce an inspiring selection of teas that would not look out of place in London's top hotels and museums, with themes including art, cocktails, literature, world travel and Kent.

The Master, Clerk and Events Manager were delighted to form part of this year's judging panels.

Congratulations to all the staff at the NBS under the leadership of Cristiana Solinas for the dedication they have shown to their students. It is clear to see that a wealth of bakery skills have been passed on to the latest graduates.

We wish all the Level 6 students the best of luck as they make their next steps in Bakery.
