The Bakers is proud to support LSBU National Bakery School. Last week our Clerk and Events Manager were invited to patisserie assessments, to see (and taste!) the product of years of hard work.
Each student had to produce an afternoon tea, featuring a tart, mousse, a verrine, a choux pastry, a vegan dessert and a sandwich, for which they baked their own bread. Each chose their theme, and could let their imaginations run riot on flavouring and design. Alongside the food itself, they produced detailed timings and recipes for their creations.
It is clear that these young bakers have bright futures ahead. And what a delicious afternoon it was.
