They came, they bought doughnuts, they drove sheep...
This Sunday saw a spectacular effort from our enthusiastic freemen and liveymen, ably assisted by students from the LSBU National Bakery School, as they manned our Bakers' stand at the annual Woolmen's Sheep Drive, selling out of bags of delicious donated baked goods in record time.
The funds raised go to support our Benevolent Fund, and this year's stellar performance will fund an incredible two places on next summer's bursary courses, providing advanced training to early career bakers.
Special commendation to Past Master Christopher Freeman and Steward Richard Burrell for their tireless efforts to bring everything together, and to all who donated so generously to support the future of our trade.
