Each summer, when the doors of Bakers Hall are closed, arguably the most important work of our year takes place. We bring together groups of young bakers, to explore the mysteries of baking together.
Our bursary course has been designed specifically for bakers who have been working in commercial bakeries for at least 3 years, in order to provide a valuable opportunity for refreshing and enhancing skills; and to explore the potential for upgrading standard bakery products to a higher level of finish and quality.
And, as is the Livery way, to build connections and friendships.
This summer's course took place at The School of Artisan Food in Welbeck, Nottinghamshire, where our young bakers had the opportunity to learn about artisan bread and pastry making from their team of highly experienced tutors in their field.
Our Master William Marle joined the course for the last two days, awarding certificates to all attendees.
Thanks to everyone who made this course happen.
